Our Team Dr. Joseph Ranney has recently come to Healing Frontiers to take over the clinic while Dr. Sardonicus is away on sabbatical. He has been in chiropractic practice for nearly 20 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Wolfeboro community. As a second generation chiropractor, Dr. Ranney has seen firsthand the difference chiropractic can make in one's life. As a child, he suffered from asthma. Through chiropractic care his father was able to help him to better health, and later, to athletic excellence. With his own participation in athletics and watching his friends' and family's athletic endeavors over the years he has honed his skills on maximizing human performance. Having 6 children of his own, Dr. Ranney has a strong interest in helping children be healthy. Dr. Ranney has a strong reputation as an excellent doctor who is able to help people with even the most stubborn health challenges. Dr. Ranney graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1992. As part of his post graduate education, he has extensively studied Applied Kinesiology. He opened Ranney Chiropractic Center on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts in 1993. After practicing in North Carolina for the last 3 years, Dr. Ranney has moved to New Hampshire to be in the land that is close to his heart and to be closer to parts of his family. Even after over one hundred years of existence in America, most people do not know enough about chiropractic and how it can help. Dr. Ranney enjoys talking about chiropractic and is engaged in lecturing both in and out of the office. Dr. Ranney enjoys hiking, canoeing, fly-fishing, skiing and just about every other outdoor activity. He is very excited to return to New England to enjoy these pastimes.
Dr. Scott Sardonicus received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1982. He is a gifted healer who believes that chiropractic is an essential element for the full expression of human potential. Dr. Sardonicus is currently on sabattical, turning his focus for the time being to sharing his wealth of knowledge through writing. Dr. Sardonicus' healing practice is enriched by his educational background in physics, engineering and psychology. Techniques include Gonstead, Diversified, and Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing). Dr. Sardonicus also practices NeuroEmotional Technique (NET). NET is an innovative system to facilitate awareness and resolution of emotional and neurological barriers to optimal health. Dr. Sardonicus has six children who have benefited from chiropractic care since birth without needing medications, and therefore has a strong focus on pediatric care. Dr. Sardonicus is the immediate past President of the New Hampshire State Chiropractic Society, a professional organization dedicated to the philosophy and practice of chiropractic as a healing art. He has been a practitioner of Yoga since 1975 and is also an avid fisherman, kayaker, Nordic skier and chess player.
